MD, PhD issued by the School of Medicine of the National University of La Plata (UNLP).
He was fellow from Medical Research Council of Canadá, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Royal Society of Great Britain, Guggenheim Foundation, National Sciences Foundation (USA) and Fogarty Foundation.
He was Professor and Chairman of Physiology, School of Medicine, UNLP and Director of CENEXA. Center of Experimental and Applied Endocrinology (UNLP-CONICET), PAHO/WHO Collaborating Center for diabetes.
Has publiched 300 papers related to diabetes and cardiovascular risk factors in international peer review journals and received several awards for his scientific achievements.
Currently he is Consultant Professor of the School of Medicine UNLP.
